Come Draw Machines With ME!!!

I am hosting my second Artist Trading Card swap. I would love to get some different artists involved. If you love machines and love to draw give it a shot.
Artist Trading Cards are playing card sized art pieces (2.5 x 3.5 inches) that get traded all over the world. You draw three cards on a theme, send them to me and then I trade them with the cards sent in by other artists and send you 3 of their cards. It is a great way to both create and collect art. God in the Machine - Hand drawn/Painted
Swap Due Date - December 15
Signup/withdraw date - December 1
Withdrawals after the withdraw date will receive neutral feedback.
Number of Cards - 3 for 3
Number of participants - 20
Medium- Hand drawn/painted
For this swap you will create cards that prominently feature one or more machines. Technology drives our lives and dominates our time. Honor it by paying attention to all the details. These can be simple machines (a can opener) or complex (the inner workings of a wrist watch) or even something abstract.
If you would like an extra artistic challenge consider these optional ideas:
-Create your machine being used in a way it was not intended.
-Create a still life showing your machine in as realistic a manner as your talent allows.
-Your machine has been broken, its inner workings spilled out like blood from a corpse.
-Use the same machine for all of your cards but use different mediums, techniques, and styles for each one. Keep them within the hand drawn/painted category.
-Take the title literally and incorporate God or the spiritual into your composition.
If you have questions, just ask.
Details:
--cards must be standard ATC size, 2.5x3.5in
--include your username, real name, and location on the back of each card.
--hand drawn or painted only, please. Do your best work: Something you would be proud to give and to receive.
--US players: include a SASE with at least .44 cents in postage
--Internationals: Please send a self addressed envelope. I will cover the postage cost for all international traders. I collect postage stamps (new and postmarked) though so if you want to include something for my collection, that would be awesome. Not required though.
--ALL PLAYERS write your user name on the back of your return envelope
--when your returns arrive, remember to leave iTrader for me and rep points for those whose cards you received. Part of the fun of the trade is finding out where in the world our cards ended up.
--if you need to drop the swap you must communicate with me. Withdrawals after the withdraw date will receive a neutral iTrader rating.
--When your cards are finished and ready to send, please PM me for address information.
--Host cards are not necessary but always appreciated.

I have restarted my webcomics and begun some new projects.
Heroes of Audio Land is a super hero comic about a wacky island full of anthropomorphic aliens and the 3 heroes who serve them.
Bionic Boy and Stretcher is a joint super hero project with my 6 year old son who created all the characters and does most of the writing.
Action Figure Cinema (series two) is a Lego comic I'm doing with my 6 year old son. It is about an elite squad in the Space Police. (coming soon).

My Little Ponies?

I was away from DA for about a week and when I came back I had SO MANY My Little Ponies waiting for me in my message box. If it were one artist loading a bunch I could understand but it was multiple artists. I don't mind MLP, but I don't understand why they are suddenly all the rage with the people I watch. It's an interesting trend.

Nude Cartoons

Every couple of months one of the people I watch here on Deviant Art gets all in a tizzy when one of their drawings runs afoul of the Terms of Service. Inevitably it is because they draw a famous girl cartoon character in the nude. I've seen Kim Possible, Sailor Moon, and a host of Disney characters. The pieces are inevitably removed for being depictions of minors nude.
It amuses me every time I see the post filled with rage and barely contained tears that the "She's 18. HONEST!" disclaimer doesn't work.
If you get off drawing underage girls naked, you can't be surprised when DA won't allow it. No one is telling you you can't draw it. DA's TOS, that you had to agree to when you signed up, just doesn't allow it to be posted on their site. Draw it. Publish it someplace else. Or if you publish it here, remember that this is their house and you broke their rule. Angst ridden posts filled with vitriol that DA doesn't understand or they are a bunch of poopie heads just makes you look like a child and won't change the fact that your piece gets removed.
If you are drawing naked children you should have enough maturity to know what the response is likely to be and accept that. Or you can continue to whine and rage quit DA for a month until you realize nobody will ever bother to look for your art again on another site. Then you'll be back.
The other thing that always makes me laugh is the "She is 18" disclaimer that somehow is supposed to make us believe that some iconic character is anything other than what she appears to be. If you think you are a good enough artist to draw nudes, be an even better artist and draw nude adults. Make us believe that the character you want to draw is 35 years old. Use the talent you think you have.
If you draw a character we think is a teenager, she is unless your drawing tells us otherwise.
If you draw a character exactly as she appears in her cartoon, and she is a minor in her cartoon, she is a minor in your drawing too.
So quit whining. Stop imagining children naked. Grow up a little.
